Some of our favorite places to eat....

    Fernandina/Amelia Island

    Brett's on the Waterway
    in Historic Downtown Fernandina
    1 S. Front Street
    Fernandina, FL
    261-2660
Great destination restaurant.  Enjoy good food from an interesting menu while you watch both pleasure boats and
shrimpers cruise the Waterway.  Afterwards, stroll through the shops of Historic Fernandina where you are sure to find
items you don't see every day!

    Jacksonville

    West Inn Cantina
    Mexican-Southwestern-American Cuisine
    Located in Historic Avondale
    3644 St. Johns Ave.
    Jacksonville, FL
    389-1131
We love this place!  There are tables inside as well as a bar, but we usually opt to sit outside on the patio that faces St.
Johns Avenue.  This isn't your ordinary Mexican restaurant - we call it  Gourmet Mexican, as the daily specials really are
special.  Not into Mexican?  Never fear - there's something for everyone.

    Harpoon Louie's
    Located near Riverside
    4070 Herschel St.
    Jacksonville, FL
    389-5631
If you're in the mood for a laid-back, casual meal then this is the place to go!  Unless the weather doesn't allow it, we try to
get a table outside on the deck, order drinks and a salad or bleu cheese burger, then kick back for a long, relaxing
    afternoon or evening.

    Jacksonville Beach/Atlantic Beach/Neptune Beach

Plantains at the Sea Turtle Inn
    1 Ocean Blvd.
    Atlantic Beach, FL
    249-7402
Oceanfront dining with live entertainment on the weekends.  Eat, drink, and then take a stroll on the beach.  This is a
popular place, so you might want to call for reservations!

    Joe's Crab Shack
    Right on the Beach at
    6 Beach Blvd.
    Jacksonville Beach, FL
    249-6160
Great location with a second-floor deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

    Max's Restaurant and Grand Ballroom
    1312 Beach Blvd.
    Jacksonville Beach, FL
    247-6820
Enter through the  wrought iron gates and experience a European evening.  Dine on the patio and you'll feel as though you
are at a Parisian bistro.  Piano entertainment Fri-Sat.

    Orange Park and Middleburg

    La Nopalera
    Authentic Mexican Restaurant
    1930 Kingsley Ave.
    Orange Park, FL
    276-2776
This is the real deal!  Great authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices with, in our opinion, the best guacamole
anywhere!  Enjoy your food with a Dos Equis or Marguerita and you'll be saying Muchas Gracias!

    Whitey's Fish Camp
    2032 Highway 220
    Orange Park, FL
    269-4198
Whitey's is back better than ever since rebuilding after a devastating fire a few years ago.  Enjoy indoor dining or sit at the
inside bar, or take it outside.  The covered outdoor decks overlook the water and include an outdoor bar area.  Enjoy
steamed oysters, shrimp, scallops, clams and more.  Live music most nights.

        St. Augustine

    The Milltop

What a great way to spend an afternoon!  Climb up the winding stairs to the top of the Mill and prepare to stay awhile.
Enjoy the live music while munching on nachos.  Come dressed for the weather, however, since the Milltop doesn't have
    air conditioning or heating!
